Geoff MacLellan was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Glace Bay in a by-election in 2010 and was re-elected in 2013 and 2017.
He has served as Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal and Minister Responsible for Sydney Tar Ponds Agency.
He is the Government House Leader.
Geoff was a riding assistant for Rodger Cuzner and was the director of Business Development, Maritime Environmental Training Institute in Sydney as well as the Cape Breton University Representative and Program Coordinator for the Canadian International College (CIC) in Cairo, Egypt.
He is Vice Chair of the Internal Affairs Committee. He is a member of the Assembly Matters Committee. He is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission.
